artist statement

Through three sound installations, the artist creates moments of intimacy that deal with the physical perception of sound. The installation zitternd, wankend (trembling, swaying) is based on the feeling of an inner shock and combines the visual aspect of sound with the acousitc level. I want you to breathe me in, let me be your air consists of two sound sources: one’s own breath, amplified by earplugs, and the breath played back through headphones.
The touch of your hand deals with situations of unintentional intimacy by focusing on the tactile perception of sound.
